Category Story on Natural Heritage

China’s natural heritage is rich and diverse. Yellow River and Yangtze River forms the cradle of Chinese civilization. The country has famous mountains and rivers, sheer cliffs and strange-looking rocks, beautiful Karst caves and large sinkholes, vast forests and rare species. For example, the pines and rocks in Huangshan, the peaks and valleys in Zhangjiajie, the Turquoise pools and waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou, the magnificent Yangtze River and majestic Three Gorges, the picturesque river in Guilin and lush hills in Yangshuo, the emerald lake and willow trees in West Lake, and the giant panda habitat in Sichuan. All together, they constitute a unique natural tapestry of the nation.
